Thursday was my very last day in both the café and Antigua. Luis Pedro stopped by to introduce himself, and it was very nice to meet him. He seems like a very down-to-earth dude.
I was very sad to leave because a bit of me fell in love with Antigua. I spent every day in the café, hiking, talking to new people, and trying amazing drinks and food. I had a good time with all the gals in the cafe; I felt like I made some friends by the end of my trip.
As a goodbye to Guatemala, I did one last hike with my friend, Jonathan to Cerro de la Cruz to overlook the view of Antigua.
3 THINGS I TOOK AWAY:
- Being surrounded by a different side of coffee culture and visiting origin has only inspired and motivated me to stay the course.
- Full culture immersion has allowed me to really get to know everyone I met.
- We are working with some really great people here in Antigua. The quality speaks for itself and now we know why.
Thanks Guatemala, it’s been real.
