STORY
This dynamic and intense Ethiopian single origin offering comes to us from a small village in Harsu Haro, one of three forests located within Guji Zone's Uraga woreda, in the Oromia Region. Harsu Village is home to 416 smallholder farmers who, from November to January, meticulously pick coffee cherries during their period of peak ripeness. The fully ripe cherries are then taken to Harsu Haro's Central Washing Station where, under the Mill Manager's careful supervision, they are laid to dry on raised African beds. The coffee cherries are consistently circulated to ensure even drying throughout. Although the drying process is slow, this method reduces the moisture content in the cherry and allows sugars to develop, which lends to the characteristically fruity sweetness that is present in natural-processed coffees. We hope that you will enjoy this sweet, fruit-forward, juicy, Natural process Ethiopian offering as much as we do.
