Naga Singage is a local coffee-growing community and central washing station located outside the town of Yirgacheffe, famous for cultivating some of the finest coffees in Africa. Named after the Naga Singage Mountain, over 1000 smallholder growers harvest perfectly ripe coffee cherries between 1950-2150 MASL. The coffee is processed at the Aricha coffee processing station. Naga Singage produces both Washed and Natural processed coffees. Naga Singage has been under the management of Testi Coffee since 2018, so if you have been a fan of our Reko and Mulish offerings, you will enjoy this one too. Rich fertile soil, ideal microclimate, and high elevation are the perfect terroir growing conditions. Red ripe cherries are selectively picked and then slowly dried on raised drying beds over several weeks. They must be carefully monitored and turned daily to ensure even drying and maintain the proper moisture levels. The natural process highlights fruit-forward characteristics in the cup. As an espresso, it is a perfect punch of juicy plum and tart blackberry with the honeysuckle and oolong florality you would expect to find in a high-quality Ethiopian coffee.
