Story

We are incredibly excited to offer our first Reserve offering from the famed La Palma Y El Tucan in Cundinamarca, Colombia. The farm’s owner Sebastian Villamizar has been on the leading forefront of quality, processing, and innovation.

Inspired by the wine industry, this coffee was produced using their Bio-Innovation process, where perfectly ripe cherries are inoculated for 96 hours in sealed clay pots with native microorganisms for the fermentation process. Once fermented, the coffee cherries are slowly dried on raised beds up to 45 days. This slow, gentle process brings out the natural sweetness and ripe fruit flavors, enhancing the Gesha's natural floral and fruit-forward notes.

Gesha is considered one of the finest coffee varieties in the world. It only grows in very distinct microclimates and takes much longer for the trees to produce fruit than other types of coffee varieties. Because of this, Gesha plants are rare and highly sought after. This unique and exceptionally delicious cup is a special offering, and we are proud to feature it in our yearly line up.
