Jazz Up Your Morning With Cold Brew Oats!

This recipe is for all of those out there who are both lazy and hungry. If you’re like me, getting up during the work week is no easy feat. And making breakfast… well that’s just impossible. That is where the beauty of overnight oats comes in. These oats pack a double whammy- they’re made with a splash of cold brew so you can get a little boost in your breakfast, plus it’s nutritious and delicious! Do yourself a favor and make these oats:

Cold Brew Oats are the best solution to breakfast laziness.

Simply measure all of your ingredients and dump them into a jar. (I never said that these oats were pretty.) Shake or stir your ingredients together, and let everything sit in the fridge overnight.

I like to add all of my dry ingredients (oats, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and chia seeds if you’re feeling extra healthy) first, screw the jar lid on, and shake to combine.

Then add your wet ingredients (cold brew and milk of your choice). Rinse and repeat. As in put the lid back on and then shake to combine.

Come morning time, you’ve got yourself a pretty tasty meal!

Cold Brew Oats Recipe
Serves two or one very hungry individual.

1 cup oats
⅔ cup milk (I used coconut milk. Raise your hand if you’re also lactose intolerant.)
½ cup cold brew (You can be lazy like me, and just buy cold brew from your favorite Temple Coffee without ice and take it home for this sole purpose.)
1-1.5 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp chocolate chips
½ tbsp chia seeds (optional)
Honey, maple syrup, or brown sugar, to taste

Measure everything out. Add dry ingredients to the jar. Put on lid and shake to combine. Take off the lid and add wet ingredients to the jar. Put the lid back onto your jar and shake it like a Polaroid picture (or until the ingredients are well combined). Leave the jar in the fridge overnight and enjoy an easy, zippy breakfast in the morning!
