STORY

Vietnam is one of the world’s largest coffee-producing countries, with much of its production concentrated in the Central Highlands. Within this landscape, the high elevations of Lam Dong province provide a distinctive environment for Arabica coffee production.

Jade Mountain is produced by smallholder farmers cultivating Catimor at approximately 1,500 meters above sea level. Farms throughout the region are often remarkably small, typically around 1 to 1.5 hectares, and for many producers, coffee represents their primary source of income.

Our sourcing partner works throughout Lam Dong to connect with thousands of smallholder farms while providing support to the region’s Arabica producers. Coffees demonstrating exceptional quality are carefully selected, with lots from individual producers brought together to create Jade Mountain.

This collaborative approach represents an exciting side of Vietnamese coffee: small-scale, high-elevation Arabica production focused on continually improving quality. Through Jade Mountain, we are proud to begin our partnership with producers in Lam Dong and share a distinctive expression of Vietnam’s Central Highlands.
