Coffee Freshness

Common questions we hear when buying coffee: “How long does my coffee last? How can I keep it fresher longer? When is coffee best: fresh off the roast or after resting?” Often enough, we think that great coffee is one that’s closest to the roast date, but did you know that might not be the case? Together, we’ll look at how a coffee’s age makes a difference in its flavor and discuss the steps we can take to best maintain its freshness. This class is perfect for anyone brewing coffee at home!

Pour Over Devices

There are many options when it comes to brewing on a pour over. Some, like the Chemex, have been around since the 1950s and others have just been announced at the last SCA Coffee event as the, “Next greatest brewer!” For this class, we will be brewing on several popular pour over brewers and compare the differences between each of the resulting cups. This class is great if you’re looking for a new brewer for yourself or your favorite coffee aficionado.
